Mike spent the first half of his working life working for car manufacturers in training and then marketing roles, before choosing to escape the rat race with his family at the turn of the millennium.

Living in Lanzarote is his first full length book, although he has written extensively for newspapers, magazines and radio. He is currently working on the follow up to this book, and is involved in several other writing projects and collaborations.

He lives in the valley of Haria in Lanzarote with his wife Julie, two children and their dogs. His passions include scuba diving, cooking, reading and anything and everything to do with Lanzarote
